Sophie is a teenager with learning difficulties who loves playing the piano. But even her music teacher doesn’t really get her unique style of playing. Unbeknownst to Sophie, her best friend Danko – a rap loving young hoodie – has submitted a tape of her playing to a prestigious music competition. And now he reveals that she has made it to the final.

When they arrive at the competition they stand out as being very different from everyone else. And when Sophie finally plays the judges weren’t prepared for her unorthodox style of music and try and make her leave the stage much to the protestation of Danko. As they leave it is revealed that Danko had cut out the less melodic sections from the tape he had sent in leaving only the “good” bits.
