PLEASE NOTE: The entry deadline has now passed.
1. Applications must contain:
a. A completed and signed entry & release form which can be obtained from www.reeltalentaward.co.uk
b. A screenplay no longer than 5 sides of plain A4 in Courier 12pt for a film of no longer than 5 minutes with a separate title page.
c. A DVD containing no more than 2 examples of the writer/director’s most recent work. (In the case of previous short films, please ensure you include the entire films instead of an edited showreel.)
2. Only entries received by 16 March 2007 shall be valid.
3. Applications should be posted to: The Audi channel Reel Talent Awards, c/o The Script Factory, Welbeck House, 66/67 Wells Street, London W1T 3PY. Faxed or emailed applications will not be accepted.
4. Only screenplays written in English will be accepted.
5. Applicants must be over 18 years old and UK residents. The Awards are not open to the families of anyone connected with the establishment, administration or judging of these Awards.
6. Applications must be from teams of two comprising one writer/director and one producer. Only single author screenplays will be accepted. No joint author submissions will be accepted and only one entry is permitted per applicant.
7. Screenplays must not have been previously optioned, sold or produced.
8. Screenplays and all application material must be the original work of the applicants and all the rights must reside with the applicants. Adaptations will not be accepted.
9. Screenplays must not feature the name of the applicants other than on the title page. The title of the screenplay must be placed on the foot of every page of the screenplay and pages must also be numbered consecutively.
10. Screenplays must be accompanied by a title page containing the title, applicants’ names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.
11. The organisers accept no responsibility for any applications lost or damaged in the post or for any late or undelivered applications.
12. No application materials will be returned. Applicants should ensure that they retain copies of the materials submitted.
13. The Awards’ organisers reserve the right to reject any application for any reason and will not enter into any discussion regarding this right.
14. Applicants must be available for interviews in April 2007, for travel to London to attend a script development course scheduled to take place week commencing 30th April 2007 and for production throughout May, June, July & August 2007, as well as various promotional events, dates to be confirmed.
15. Films must in all respects comply with the Advertising Standards Code applicable to avoiding harm and offence (Section 6) and to the marketing of driving standards (Section 11.9). A copy of the Advertising Standards Code can be obtained from www.asa.org.uk
