The Hospital Club is unique. We are designed specifically for the creative
industries. We have music studios, a TV studio, an art gallery, a screening room
and two lounge bars. Our role is to discover and feed the best creative talent,
and produce, publish and celebrate their work. They can be starting out, on
their way up, and established figures or even one of the stars of their field.
Whichever it is, The Hospital Club is their place to meet, to work, to get
things done and to have a good laugh.
The Hospital Club has now opened a philanthropic department focusing on
supporting up and coming talent. We’re about to launch an exciting new scheme,
The Creatives in Residence, backed by several big names across the creative
industries, which is an extension of our previous Mentoring Programme.
The Creatives in Residence is open to artists, writers, fashion designers,
filmmakers, musicians, graphic designers, actors, journalists and people who
work in TV, cinema and theatre.
You are invited to apply for one of seven places we have on our programme this
year.
As part of the programme, we will match you with a mentor (who’s an expert in
your field) and who will commit to work with you closely over the year. We will
introduce you to our network, commission you to carry out various projects and
showcase your work in our building, to our members and to the outside world in
order to help you raise your profile across the industry.
In addition, we will offer you practical support and resources to help you
develop your current projects by giving you access to our studios and facilities
free of charge.
By offering such a wide ranging programme, we hope to actively deliver a
significant boost to your career and, in our own small way, help some of you to
make that all-important breakthrough.
We already have over 200 of our members, from very diverse backgrounds and with
a wealth of experience, who are fully on board. We can’t say too much at this
stage before we launch, but they include high profile artists – from record
producers and A&R people to management, lawyers, publicists and other artists
themselves from all across the arts. What makes this work, in its own unique
way, is the support, advice and time commitment from our network of members and
friends of the club.
