Kabuki: a photographic exhibition will run at The Hospital Club’s iconic gallery from 9 – 16 March 2012, featuring a stunning set of images of Kabuki's brightest young actors, photographed by acclaimed portrait photographer Frederic Aranda over the last five years, during performances and backstage at London's Barbican and Sadler’s Wells theatres. This exhibition will be a unique opportunity to catch a glimpse into a closed and rarefied world; this being the first time that backstage pictures of Kabuki have EVER appeared or been put up for sale, even in Japan.

This March, The Script Factory is presenting a series of highly practical workshops designed to help writers, producers and script developers grapple with the particular demands of their chosen genre. How do you generate an atmosphere of tension in a Thriller, make love believable in a Romantic Comedy or move us with the flaws and foibles of the characters in a Drama? Taught by experienced script developers, each workshop will be a combination of lecture, vibrant group discussions and practical exercises. Participants will be guided expertly through the inner-workings of each genre and emerge equipped with practical and effective strategies for script development.

We have 2 FREE spaces per session for Hospital Club members, so move fast before they are snapped up!

• Ticket prices on the website are the "gross Price" so include VAT

• As per most theatres and cinemas, we are operating a “No Cancellation Policy”

The Hospital Club will be launching an Entrepreneurs Group in the near future but we wanted to send out a mini survey in the next few weeks to get your valuable input. We'd love to hear from you if you;

The group will be run by Mark and Patrick from In The Moment. It will meet regularly to share knowledge, exchange ideas and solve the problems that we all face when we are building a business.

Mark and Patrick are the founders of in-the-moment.co.uk providing practical support to creative businesses. They help founders and business leaders deal with many, often conflicting, issues involved in developing business. The aim is for their clients to create a solid platform for success and acquire the tools they will need, both business and personal, for the rest of their career.

The wait is almost over...  For just 3 weeks from 6th February the 4th floor will be closing its doors to undergo a full transformation.   Partly re-opening on the 21st with a brand new members lounge, and fully re-opening on the 28th with a completely revamped Martini Bar and new pool room, the new spaces will take full advantage of our rooftop views and open up even more cosy nooks and corners for you to enjoy a cocktail or a coffee, whatever time of the day or night.

We are delighted to confirm that The Hospital Club will be hosting the first London WIE Symposium on March 8th 2012.

WIE (Women, Inspiration and Enterprise) is a women’s symposium that started in NYC by June Sarpong and Dee Poku two years ago. Since then the WIE Symposium brand has grown significantly attracting a large number of high profile individuals and brands.

WIE London will have a philanthropic tie with 20 successful business women mentoring 20 young women from underprivileged backgrounds to help them turn their lives around. The Huffington Post will track their progress and we will invite the young women back to the WIE London 2013  Symposium to share their stories.

We wanted to introduce you to one of our brilliant neighbours on Betterton st and what batter way to do so than with a fantastic competition to win several hundred pounds worth of luxury skincare. Described as “the Insider’s favourite” by Stylist Magazine, OSKIA is the new British go-to brand for beauty experts and savvy consumers.

Every year, we listen to all your feedback and suggestions with regards to the website...and then attempt to update it and address as many of your comments as possible.

In 2011, many of you mentioned that there's often an overload of content which in turn makes the signposting of the site a little confusing.

With that in mind, we have streamlined the site considerably to put much more emphasis on the club itself, it's facilities and the many service that we provide. This is now reflected in the main navigation of the website. Have a look around and let us know what you think.

How will the changes affect you? The answer is not very much!

Club members will now have to log into the site to access the Events section. You have to be logged in to book an event anyway so this shouldn't make to much difference, but please note, you won't see it in the global navigation any more, the Events site section will be activated in your toolbar when you log-in.

Out premium events have grown in popularity in 2011, Business @ Breakfast and Chef's Masterclass in particular. We didn't have a very seamless experience for booking tickets so we have integrated a "secure trading" platform on the site so you can book and pay for tickets in one go.

That's it for now. We are doing quite a lot of work on the Members area of the site at the moment so there will be some more changes to follow in January but more of that soon...
